There are many amazing, moving parts that come together to put on a production like the Trashion Refashion Runway Show. In the coming weeks, we'll dive more into each of these Trashion elements to tell you more about Season 7 of our favorite runway event.
For now, we'd like to introduce some of our major partners for the April 10th, 2016 show including Danielle Urschel, the artist behind the last two years of Trashion themes, Anita DeCastro and her Sweet River original mini-cirque performance, and Gail Hale as our large-scale stage artist and builder. Click on the individual photo to see the tile larger, and keep checking back as we let you get a little closer to the The Seventh Annual Bloomington Trashion Refashion Runway Show!

As the committee lead, I want to take a moment for a personal thank you to everyone involved with this event. I have been fascinated with Trashion since the 2nd season, and it was such an honor to be asked to join the committee in Jeanne Leimkuhler's absence. The experience of planning and producing this event has been absolutely incredible, ranging from sometimes stressful to the absolute joy of being in the company of so much creativity and talent. There's pride in the days leading up to the event when I know this committee has crossed all of our t's and dotted all of the i's. It's been SUCH an honor, really, and I'm thrilled to be on board for yet another year....the upcoming 7TH SEASON OF #BLOOMINGTONTRASHION....how cool does that sound!?! Thank you all so much for allowing and encouraging me to keep and grow this wonderful part of my life that is the Trashion Runway. -Tara Jones Bloomington Trashion Steering Committee, 2015 Co-Producer We hope you can attend this Fashion Show happening Thursday night!

We'd like to pass on this excited event happening this weekend! Here's a word from our friends at Bloomington North High School: In 1981, Middle Way House first opened its doors to shelter abused women and their children. Over thirty years later, they continue to empower women and help them start anew after facing adversity and abuse.
Our Fourth Annual Project Middle Way Fashion Show is taking place to raise money and awareness for an organization that has contributed so much to the Bloomington community. The last three years have generated a lot of publicity, much more than we expected when we started. The first year, we had around 80 attendees. Last year, we had over 250! We are hoping this year will be even bigger so we can spread the word about Middle Way House, as well as support local businesses that have helped make this annual show possible. The show will take place on Saturday, February 28th at Bloomington High School North. We will be serving refreshments before the event, starting at 6:00 pm where we will have a silent auction, wonderful hors d'oeuvres, and music from the band The Double Digits. The show will proceed at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the night of the show or reserved by emailing [email protected]. Tickets are $5 for children under 12, $10 for students, $15 for adults. We are looking to raise over $5,000 this year. However you can help us would make a huge impact on Middle Way House and the Bloomington community. For those of you that cannot make it to the show, please consider donating to Project Middle Way’s cause.
